In the spirit of the children’s book Naked Mole Rat Gets Dressed …
“There is so much to learn about the exciting, exhausting and all-consuming world of Counselor Training, but, for this blog post, you only need to know three things:
1. It is part training,
2. It is part exhausting,
3. It is ALL about Camp Stevens at its best!
Or at least that’s what I’ve been told or have gathered so far (I’ve got a lot to learn)! It is the Saturday before Counselor Training begins (five days before you’re reading along) and I am about to embark on my first ever CT experience at Camp Stevens as a FLOW person! I am beyond excited, a bit overwhelmed, and already exhausted at the thought of staying up past my normal bedtime. Hello, coffee! Needless to say, I will write a “report” (Camp Stevens style – we’ll see what that means) when all is said and done.
As our summer season really takes off, please do remember to send good vibes our way and keep us in your prayers as we provide hospitality and inspire adventure to well over 500 young people this summer!
Willing and able to help us offer the Camp Stevens experience to kids whose families cannot afford it? Click here to donate to the Campership Fund! Even $20 makes a huge difference (but we’ll gladly take more than that)!
Whim: “sudden idea.” This weekly-ish post promises a number of things: personal thoughts and reflections, showing off Camp Stevens’ programs and staff, announcements for upcoming opportunities, and answering questions or responding to comments “from the audience.” If you have a topic or question you’d like addressed, just e-mail Beth!
