New summer cabin signs

In 2007, a forest fire damaged much of our forest and destroyed over a dozen buildings on Camp Stevens property. As we rebuilt, one of the areas we were most anxious to get completed was “Girls Hill”, where half the cabins for our summer campers are.

Summer 2012 was the first summer in five where all 50+ weekly female campers got to sleep in the new, beautiful, open-air, fire-safe structures.

To go with the new “look” of the cabins (These are replacing wooden A-frames), they are also getting names instead of numbers, like Foxtail, Meadow and Acorn. Staff member Delaney has been working hard to make those names official: Check out the in-progress signs that will hang on each of the six new cabins when summer camp kicks off in just two months!
